Instructions

We had some fun playing Risk GodStorm, using the game to learn about various pantheons on gods. As with many pop culture items, the game makers took some liberties with the myths and literature. On the other hand, they also missed some aspects of the myths and literature that could really have added some exciting dimensions to the game. Here is your chance to revise Risk GodStorm to take into consideration what you have learned as well as what you can research on the topics.

  • Reread the Risk: GodStorm Game Manual
  • Think about the texts we have read; you may also do related outside research
  • Consider how the game should be revised, either in terms of corrections or in terms of additions that would enhance the game
  • Design 3 significant revisions
  • These revisions should NOT just be something you would change in the rules (for example, "I think the game board should be turned 90 degrees at each turn"); they SHOULD be related to our readings (or related outside research) in some way
  • For each revision, provide a significant explanation and reasoning for your choice
  • For each revision, you should include quotations from a primary text (ones we read in class, others from the textbook, or ones that you have found on your own); thus, in the complete assignment, you will have quotations from at least 3 separate primary texts
  • You should provide a Works Cited

Helpful Suggestions:
  • You are NOT tied to the pantheons already in the game; you may add if you wish
  • You are NOT tied to the powers already given to each of the gods in the game
