Instructions
As you read, think about the characters of the pilgrims in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales "General Prologue." How does Chaucer present them? What can we understand about their morality (or lack thereof)? Then:
1) Rank the pilgrims in order of their morality (1 being halo, 10 being fires of hell).
2) Rank as many pilgrims as possible. Required ones: Knight, Wife of Bath, Pardoner, Parson, Miller, Prioress.
3) Next to each pilgrim you rank, provide a short explanation (quotations/page numbers make good evidence) for your choice.
4) Read the lists/explanations your classmates create. Discuss any disagreements you might have with their choices and reasoning.
